Petlovers

About project
Petlovers was a brand identity created for a large-scale pet community platform, a social impact initiative designed to unite animal lovers of all kinds, from dog and cat owners to people caring for smaller pets. The platform was envisioned as a shared space for connection, knowledge exchange, and meaningful contribution to animal welfare.

The project focused on building a visual identity that could feel warm, inclusive, and emotionally resonant, while still carrying enough clarity and structure to function as a recognizable platform brand.
The challenge
Community-driven projects require a different emotional tone than commercial brands. The identity needed to express care, openness, and belonging without feeling naive, overly sentimental, or visually generic. It also had to avoid the look of a corporate initiative trying too hard to appear friendly.

The real challenge was to create a symbol strong enough to anchor the platform—something that could communicate shared values, emotional connection, and a collective sense of purpose in a simple and immediate way.
The Solution
The identity was built around the idea of a ribbon—a form widely understood as a symbol of solidarity, support, and shared commitment. This became the conceptual foundation of the project: a visual sign that could express unity within the pet-loving community in a way that felt both emotionally intuitive and culturally familiar.

Rather than using a generic heart or paw symbol, the ribbon introduced a stronger and more distinctive layer of meaning. It positioned the brand not simply as a pet platform, but as a community connected by care.
Visual Identity
The ribbon was developed in a warm pink tone, referencing both love and something more tactile and specific to pet ownership, the soft colour of a pet’s nose or tongue. That detail gave the identity a more intimate emotional quality and helped the symbol feel more personal and memorable.

Paired with clean, rounded typography, the mark created a visual language that felt open, modern, and approachable. The symbol was also designed to function beyond the logo itself, as an emblem, a social icon, or a unifying sign across different digital and print touchpoints.
Result
The result was a brand identity that gave the platform a clear emotional center and a much stronger sense of purpose. Warm, symbolic, and easy to recognize, the system helped position Petlovers as more than just another pet-related initiative—it felt like a community people could genuinely belong to.
