Banana Dog

About project
Bananadog is a fashion-forward dog apparel brand creating stylish, design-led clothing and accessories for dogs. The project focused on building a stronger and more cohesive social media identity, one that could better reflect the quality, taste level, and personality already present in the product itself.

Our Fetchston team developed the full visual system for social media, including content structure, post rubrication, template design, colour direction, custom icons, patterns, and illustration.
The challenge
For fashion-led brands, social media is not just a communication channel, it is a core part of the brand experience. The product may drive sales, but the feed shapes perception, builds recognition, and creates the visual world people want to belong to.

Bananadog needed a system that would make the content instantly recognizable, visually consistent, and easy to navigate. The challenge was not only to make the feed look better, but to turn it into a structured brand environment with its own rhythm and logic.
The Solution
The work began with strategy. Before designing the visual layer, we developed a clear content structure and divided the feed into distinct rubrics, from product launches and promotions to styling ideas, customer reviews, behind-the-scenes content, and care tips.

Each rubric was then given its own visual format, allowing the audience to understand the type of content at a glance. This brought much more clarity to the feed and helped transform it from a collection of posts into a consistent editorial system.
Visual Identity
The visual language was built directly from the brand name itself. Working with custom banana-inspired forms, we created a flexible graphic system of icons, patterns, and cropped visual elements that reinforced brand recognition without becoming too literal or childish.

A sharp highlighter yellow became the key brand accent, bringing energy and strong stopping power in the feed. Combined with clean neutrals, clear typography, and the custom pattern system, the identity gave Bananadog a more fashion-oriented and immediately recognizable social presence.
Result
The refreshed social media system gave Bananadog a feed that felt more structured, more distinctive, and much more aligned with the style of the product. It improved visual consistency, made content easier to navigate, and helped shape a brand presence that felt modern, ownable, and clearly positioned within a more design-conscious segment of the pet market.
